Today we're exploring the sounds of Maqam Rast - the heaviest but also the largest maqam according to Qari Ibrahim. Anybody at any pitch level with their voice can recite with this maqam.

This maqam is also flexible in that you can switch from this one to many of the others. For this reason it's also a staple amongst the master reciters of Quran.
