Suranne Jones has opened up about starring in ITV’s newest crime-thriller ‘Maryland’, a role which she says was heavily influenced by her own life.

The actor and producer, who rose to prominence as Karen McDonald in Coronation Street between 2000 and 2004, has appeared in big name shows including Doctor Foster, Gentleman Jack, and Vigil.
