A teaser trailer has been released for the much-anticipated film, which will have its world premiere this week.
New Irish movie King Frankie will have its world premiere at the Dublin International Film Festival (DIFF) this week and promises to be the "Celtic Tiger tale you have not seen".

Peter Coonan (Love/Hate, Bad Sisters) plays Frankie Burke, the lead character in the "redemption story".

"Following the death of his father, the past catches up with our hero taxi driver and he is sent on a trip down memory lane, to when he was the fast talking, fast spending King, who ruined everything on the worst day of his life," the plot synopsis reads.

Ahead of the DIFF premiere, Coonan came into JOE's offices to discuss the movie, the Celtic Tiger, as well as some Love/Hate highlights.
