In the small town in Karnataka, they're famous for making shavige noodles in a partly traditional way. They take dough and shove it through machines that spit out thin noodle strands. These noodles, known as Shavige or Sevai, are then laid out on bamboo sticks to dry in the sun. Once they're dry, these noodles are used in all sorts of dishes, adding a local flavor that you can’t find anywhere else. #indianfood #streetfood #shavige
