The Sermon - “Our Master’s Example”


On this night we remember and celebrate the final supper Jesus
shared with His disciples during Passover. At this “Last Supper”,
Jesus instituted the Sacrament of Communion and also issued a
new commandment. The term ‘Maundy’ comes from the Latin word
mandatum which means ‘commandment’. Jesus declared: “A new
commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I
have loved you, you also are to love one another.” (John 13 34)
