The “Cities and Local Food Systems” UNFSS Pre-Summit plenary session on July 28th, 2021, addressed the key role of cities and local food systems in achieving the ambitions of the UNFSS as well as the Sustainable Development Goals. A variety of stakeholders representing local governments, city networks, the research community, non-profits, and the private sector spoke about leverage points for food systems action at the local level and the importance of multi-stakeholder partnerships. ©UN
