I was sick of restarting failed 3D prints and this was a big one so time to learn how to resume a failed print!
It was really easy using the Z-offset plugin in Cura via it's Marketplace inside the program. All I needed was a set of digital measuring callipers and some basic Cura and notepad edits. Let me show you how I did it.

These were the steps:
1. Measure the height of the failed print
2. In Cura, download the Z-offset plug-in from the Marketplace
3. In the z-offset box, enter the height of the failed print you measured in step 1.
4. In Cura, use the move option to sink the print down into the bed/Z-axis by the same amount as your measured failed print height in step 1.
5. Turn off skirt, brim and raft so the print starts straight away
6. Slice as normal and save this new file to the print card.
7. Open this file using "open with" and choose notepad editor to edit this G-code.
8. In the notepad editor, find the 'wipe' value
9. Below the wipe command you will see the name of your file and X, Y and Z values
10. Enter 0 for both the X and Y values
11. Save the file
12. Load the file as normal in your printer and resume printing!
