On the eve of their first show, a rock band struggles with a radioactive energy in their music that blows up amps, liquefies tape decks and starts electrical fires.

Director Dylan Allen — alongside producer Eddy Vallante — has crafted a delightful and absurd sci-fi comedy about a ragtag group of wannabe-rockers, trying to get their big break. As they debate whether to play later that night, they hear the king of house parties -- "Pool Party Eddy" -- will be there.

Fun, visually striking and well-polished, THE PRIVATES is a musically-driven adventure that'll appeal to adults who grew up in the 80s and those too young to have experienced pop culture.

The film is inspired by, and features the music of, a Nashville band of the same name. The shoot consisted of three days in Brooklyn, followed by scattered days of inserts, green screen and even a miniature table-top shoot for the burning rock club.
