When AMA Pro National Guard SuperBike competitors unloaded their race bikes at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course, defending champion Josh Hayes had the mission to keep up his streak of winning. To the rest of the field, it was to beat Josh and establish themselves as the new alpha male. With impressive season performances by Josh Herrin, Roger Hayden, Martin Cardenas, Danny Eslick, Chris Fillmore, Taylor Knapp, Aaron Yates, Geoff May and many other riders, all assumptions leading up to the Buckeye SuperBike Weekend were in full swing as to who would steal the win.
