Daniel Birch spent four years serving with the Irish Guards, but after a kinetic tour of Afghanistan he left the military to start a family.
His transition into civilian life proved difficult though.
Struggling to find work and look after two children with health problems, he sank into depression.
But after contacting Veterans into Logistics – a charity that helps ex-service personnel train as HGV drivers – he has turned his life around after finding full-time employment.
