Mercedes pulled the wraps off the most potent electric version it's ever sold, the EQS 53 AMG, which can have up to 760 horsepower, albeit briefly. In order to have access to that power number, you need to pay for an option and even then it is only available for brief periods by going into a menu and enabling a temporary boost function.

In this mode, it can sprint to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 3.4 seconds, but Mercedes doesn't say how long it takes to do the sprint in standard form, with around 580 horsepower. It also didn't look that sporty from the outisde, with just a unique grille, typical AMG style bumpers and rims, as well as a small ducktail spoiler marking it off as a special model. We're pretty sure Mercedes is working on a 63 model that will be even more extreme, although there are currently no rumors.
