According to the Care Quality Commission, more than 100 vulnerable people a day are suffering serious injuries in care home across the country, that’s a rise of 40% in five years. Theresa Rowland struggled when it came to putting her mum into a home, but couldn’t cope with the demands of caring for her in the late stages of dementia. Despite paying over £4,000 a month for the best possible care at a Surrey care home, Theresa’s mum was left shaken and bruised on two occasions. Theresa joins Holly and Phillip to share the story of the abuse her mother suffered.
