This is the first video in a multi-part series on small unmanned aerial system (sUAS or "drone") cybersecurity. In this video we discuss commercial uses of drones, why a drone is essentially a 'flying computer,' and potential cyber threats. In later videos we discuss cybersecurity vulnerabilities and penetration testing of a drone.

This series of videos is meant to provide an overview of applications of cybersecurity (e.g., maritime, aviation, supply chain, etc.) normally not discussed in information technology or cybersecurity courses, which help provide a broadening of a students understanding of how cybersecurity affects these domains, and its importance therein.

The intended audiences for these videos include high school, community college, and lower-level university students who are interested in, or participating in, cybersecurity, information technology, or associated programs. Additionally, the first video in a series is broad enough to be understood by a general audience.
