Gigafactory Texas on 8 September 2021! This is where the Cyber Truck and Model Y will be built!

Another great day to fly at Giga Texas and another busy day too! We are definitely in the crossroads between heavy construction efforts and fine tuning ahead of possible production (small scale) starting up in only about 4 to 6 weeks! Amazing to think about that!

In this video, we do a brief introductory segment with diagrams, illustration s and news updates, including news of Samsung building a $17B chip manufacturing plant near Giga Texas to support Tesla and the production of all products coming out of this factory! Exciting news to say the least!

Lots of great things, progress, and a few new developments to see today!

Here are the highlights from today's video:
- We see the large yellow crane being disassembled on the west side of highway foundation area, as well as a large number of storm water corrugated pipes and other materials stored on the south end.
- Three more space frame/trusses getting ready to install (one at the paint shop, 2 on east side ... one of which is of a slightly different design from the other two … this could be the final format for the two last segments of the roof in the “alley” area!)
- A lot of progress on the General Assembly structure, including west side perimeter grade beam work now reaching the angled SW corner, a huge concrete floor pour going on at the south end, possible preparations for more of the large window installation on the west side, and interior work as well.
- In the central area, we see a lot of footings in various stages of completion, the pier drills are out of the excavation pit, and we see a large amount of the rebar base squares being prepared at the far south end.
- At the casting machine structure, we see the two new casting machine foundations were getting concrete poured this morning, which is another big milestone, and we see preparations to pour the last area of concrete on the roof. The bridge roofing to the paint shop is also progressing quickly, with only about 4 or 5 segments remaining to close in this open area. Also, we see many Model Y castings stacked in the NE corner of the structure.
- We look at roof work in multiple areas across the main factory, some of which appear to be for HVAC venting as part of the overall heating and cooling system for the structure.
- On the far south end, we look at a large area of storm water pipe installation as well as preparations for more trenching with trench boxes nearby to allow for more storm water pipe installation heading to the extreme south end.
- Finally, the east side battery cathode foundation area has once again been turned into a large materials, equipment, and vehicle temporary storage area, meaning construction here is being delayed again … uncertain why or for how long.
