Procedure:

Safety Precautions:

Park your trailer on a level surface.
Engage the parking brake and use wheel chocks to prevent movement.
Wear safety glasses and gloves for protection.
Jack Up the Trailer:

Use a jack to lift the trailer's frame. Position the jack stands under the frame to support the weight.
Remove the Wheels:

Use a lug wrench to remove the lug nuts from the wheels.
Carefully take off the wheels and set them aside.
Locate the Equalizer and Wet Bolts:

Locate the equalizer and the wet bolts. These are typically found between the leaf springs and axles, connecting the suspension components.
Unbolt the Equalizer:

Use a socket and wrench set to unbolt the equalizer from the trailer frame.
Be sure to support the equalizer when removing the bolts to prevent it from falling.
Remove the Old Wet Bolts:

Unbolt and remove the old wet bolts from the leaf springs and shackles. They may have bushings that you'll also need to remove.
Install the New Wet Bolts:

Apply a liberal amount of high-quality grease to the wet bolts and bushings.
Insert the new wet bolts into the leaf springs and shackles.
Ensure the grease fittings on the wet bolts are accessible for future lubrication.
Reattach the Equalizer:

Position the new equalizer and reattach it to the trailer frame.
Use a torque wrench to tighten the equalizer bolts to the manufacturer's specifications.
Grease the Wet Bolts:

Using a grease gun, fill the grease fittings on the wet bolts with high-quality grease. Continue until you see excess grease coming out around the bolts.
Reinstall the Wheels:

Place the wheels back onto the wheel hubs.
Hand-tighten the lug nuts onto the wheel bolts.
Lower the Trailer:

Carefully remove the jack stands and lower the trailer back to the ground using the jack.
Tighten Lug Nuts:

Using a lug wrench, tighten the lug nuts in a crisscross pattern to ensure even pressure.
Consult your trailer's manual for the recommended torque settings.
Test the Suspension:

Take your trailer for a test tow to ensure that the new equalizer and wet bolts are functioning correctly.
Pay attention to the ride quality, suspension performance, and weight distribution.
Always follow the manufacturer's recommendations and specifications for the specific equalizer and wet bolt kit you're using. Regular maintenance and inspections of your trailer's suspension components are essential for safe and smooth towing. If you're not comfortable with this task, consider seeking professional assistance from a qualified mechanic or trailer technician.
