Unboxing the Samsung Galaxy A32 5G, the most budget-friendly Sammy smartphone with 5G chops in 2021 - but is it among the best? Here we tour the specs and OneUI 3.1 features, plus test out the camera hardware and gaming chops.

Some of the specs here are definitely weaker than rivals such as the Xiaomi Mi 10T Lite, including that basic display. A 720p IPS-style screen with 60Hz refresh is weak sauce at this £250 price point, when other budget smartphones offer Full HD visuals and 90Hz refresh.

Samsung has also been miserly with the storage and memory on the Galaxy A32 5G, but at least you get that Mediatek Dimensity 720 platform which is great for gaming on PubG, Call of Duty etc. Battery life is solid thanks to the 5000mAh cell, and you also get fresh Android 11 backed by OneUI 3.1.

That quad lens camera is fine for everyday photos and home movies, as long as conditions aren't too taxing. And I like this Awesome Blue model, even if I'd rather call it 'Nice Blue'.
