Today we're crossing our first international border while driving the Pan American Highway as we cross in our truck camper from the USA to Mexicali, Mexico. Heading into our first border crossing we were a bit nervous because people tend to hype up the stress that comes with the process, but truthfully, our experience was really positive. The people were friendly (like they almost always are in Mexico!), it went quickly, and we made it through without any hiccups! Lesson learned: have all your paperwork ready to go and show up with a smile!
