I recently got a Sovol SV01 3D printer (https://amzn.to/3IGfdjr), which I really like. It didn't take much research to realize I could remote control it with Octoprint (https://octoprint.org/), a free, open source web application written in Python. Most resources online pointed to OctoPi, which is Octoprint running on a Raspberry Pi. Even though I have a supported Pi, I wanted to install it on an old laptop running Linux Mint. In this video, I'll show you how I installed Octoprint using the OctoPi manual install instructions with a few changes to account for how I had Linux Mint setup.
