Since the "Sonic The Hedgehog" movie was able to celebrate worldwide success after its release, the question of a successor was logical. Especially the change of the main character as a reaction to the devastating comments in the social networks have earned the movie a lot of promotion and popularity. In an interview with USA Today, director Jeff Fowler spoke about a potential successor. When asked what the sequel would look like, Fowler replied that if he had the chance, he would immediately direct a second part. Not only would a sequel be possible that was related to the first part in terms of content, but also the option of creating a completely new story was possible. Fowler adds that there are so many characters to tell a story about and that he would like to do more with the Sonic film universe...

It was already known last year that a series based around the cult horror movies "Hellraiser" will be created. As the industry magazine Deadline now reports, both a station and a director have been found. In the near future, "Halloween" director David Gordon Green, who will probably direct several episodes of the series, will take a seat on the director's chair. Another good news follows promptly, as the responsible channel already has some successful series to show, namely HBO. So the "Hellraiser" series joins "Game Of Thrones", "The Wire" and "The Sopranos". Whether it will be as good as the mentioned series remains to be seen. But at least the right conditions seem to exist behind the camera...

Just seven years ago, the surprise hit "Now you see me" appeared, which, with a budget of around 75 million, brought in 350 million US dollars at the box offices worldwide. What followed was the planning of a whole cinema universe around the philantrophic tricksters "The Four Horsemen", and so the film studio Lionsgate released the sequel "Now you see me 2" three years later. However, the sequel disappointed noticeably, it did not brought in as much as the original movie. The desired increase of popularity failed and so the plan to release a third part was put on hold for quite a while...

According to a report by "GeeksWorldWide" Legendary Pictures is currently in the planning phase for a ""Sim City"" and a "Sims" movie. Unfortunately, information on both projects are rare, which is why in the case of the "Sims" movie you have to be content with some information from the casting calls. It seems as if the characters in the movie played a kind of double role. Included in this are for example Katie, the female main actress, who can be placed somewhere between funny and chaotic. Also involved are her best friend and nerd Cliff as well as side characters like actor Rick, Katie's cynical colleague Cora, her uptight colleague Dennis and many more...

The flood of films and series postponed by the pandemic has not stopped this week either. One of the many affected movies this week is "Thor: Love and Thunder", which is now scheduled to be released on February 11, 2022 instead of end of 2021. But at least one person can get something good out of the whole thing, namely Taika Waititi. He explains to Total Film that they are still writing Thor: Love and Thunder and that the virus-related delay makes the script even better. But this is by far not the case for all film projects that are currently suffering from the pandemic. Almost all major film studios have published a long list of films and series this week, which cannot keep the originally planned release date and have been postponed or even moved forward. At Sony, the film "Connected", which is now scheduled to be released on October 23, 2020, is one of the films that is affected. The "Uncharted" film will be released on July 16, 2021, "Spider-Man: A New Universe 2" on October 7, 2022 and "Hotel Transylvania 4" will be scheduled a bit earlier on August 6, 2021....
