It's been a long wait, but the new-generation RAM 1500 pick-up arrives stuffed with grunt and gear 👉 Full Review: https://www.carsales.com.au/editorial...
Australians are embracing American full-size pick-ups in their droves and the latest to lob via official channels Down Under is the all-new DT-series RAM 1500.
An award-winning hit since it launched in the USA in 2018, the latest RAM 1500 range is topped by the luxurious Limited variant tested here. Priced at $140K plus on-road costs, the 2021 Ram 1500 Limited is almost six metres long and more than two metres wide.
It is stuffed to the gills with tech and gear, including a roaring V8, air suspension, torque-on-demand 4x4 system and a 12-inch touch-screen that instantly makes the infotainment system in every other truck obsolete.
The RAM, like the Chevrolet Silverado that is its primary competition, is converted from left- to right-hand drive by the Walkinshaw group in Melbourne after a comprehensive local engineering program.
Does it tick the boxes on Aussie roads? There's only one way to find out.
