Without cobalt, you probably wouldn't be able to use your smartphone or laptop; in fact, you may not be able to watch our show. And electric cars wouldn't go anywhere. But the metal is pretty hard to come by, and its price has been surging this year. Trent Mell from Toronto joins us. He's the President and CEO of First Cobalt, a mining company which recently agreed to buy a 70 percent stake in a mining firm in the DRC.
