Join me on a quick Thanksgiving hike out to one of the most iconic overlooks in the legendary Superstition Mountains while I ramble about local history and share my questionable understanding of desert ecology!

Taking Peralta Trail out to Lone Pine is about a six mile out-and-back hike with roughly 1,500 ft. elevation gain; hikers of any skill level can make it out here; just be sure to bring enough water and budget time for breaks. The road to the trailhead is unpaved but very well-maintained; even the sketchiest sedan should make it without trouble.
