House Deputy Speaker Rodante Marcoleta hits Philhealth officials, including Senior Vice President and head of Legal Atty. Rodolfo Del Rosario Jr.,for allegedly lying while under oath in answers related to anomalies and corruption in Philhealth. He particularly hit Del Rosario for evasive answers.
During the hearing, Del Rosario also admitted that the release of funds before the effectivity of the interim refund mechanism (IRM) which was only on June 11, 2020 was "illegal."
Lawmakers say they are preparing plunder, other criminal and administrative charges against erring officials.
