Relations between the U.S. and China appear to be at a crossroads.
Two high-profile U.S. visitors have been to Beijing within the past month to try and repair the damaged relationship.
Trade sanctions, computer chip secrets and Taiwan are just some of the concerns for the world's top two economies - and nuclear superpowers.
But so far there's apparently little to show for the missions of diplomacy.
So are they just photo ops and political theater?
Or has anything been achieved?
