After thinking about things for a while, we decided to move the water source from the well tile spring to a spring which flowed down the side of the hill behind the cabin. It was a much cleaner source and potentially way more flow. But, since it is a flowing body of water, the chances of sediment accumulation also increase. We install a cistern as a storage tank and will have UV filters and some significant sediment traps to capture a lot of the dirt which will occur during significant rainfall events.

The well tile spring also subject to drying up during a draught much faster than the hillside spring which we are going to exploit. We will use the well tile spring for other things. There is no reason to let it go unused.
