It’s very hard to accept that there is no free will, harder still, as we feel freedom in choosing, acting a certain way and making conscious decisions. But we shouldn’t forget that our brain is a master deceiver and this feeling might be just another illusion ingrained deep in our perception. What if we reject it? Will our society collapse into chaos and global apathy and existential crisis engulf the whole world? According to Robert Sapolsky that won’t happen for sure, and for some people it will mean living without guilt that we have created for ourselves.
