How Accurate is the new Alexander the Great: The making Of A God Series? Not very accurate. So I figured... why not do an accurate video about a man that lived millennia ago and has been covered by everybody already?
I had to put my stamp on "The Great One", you know... Briefed style. Starting with his overlooked father, who actually set Alexander up for greatness, to Alexander's conquest that is much darker than we like to paint it today, and ending with Alexander's death — which is a mystery to this day. I always thought it was funny that Alexander is universally regarded as 'the good guy' when he was just as bloodthirsty and violent as any other conqueror... but at the same time, I gotta say: Alexander's life was fascinating. More than any other conqueror, this guy had some real life anime feats to his name, which is why I call this episode:

Episode 3 of Blood — The Period(s) Of Conquerors: Alexander The Great, The Real Life Anime

Notes:
Ok look... we're talking about a guy that conquered half the known world in his day. There is so much more to Alexander the Great than I could hope to cover in a 40 minute video. Notable things I skipped was Alexander's first battle with Darius the Third, his visit to Jerusalem, and some bits of correspondence between him and the Persian King. I also vastly shortened the Egypt campaign and the Indian campaign, but I do think the story works as a whole and gives you very solid idea of who Alexander the Great was.

Get All My Artwork & Support The Channel:
I get a lot of questions about my artwork and where it’s from or rather who draws it. Well the answer is that I create it — I don’t draw it. I use AI to create the artwork, using specific prompts, specific style influences from 18th and 19th century artists, and I spend about 10 hours per video just on the artwork. Each video has roughly double the artwork of what you actually see in the video, so a lot of it is unused. The good news here though is that you can get all that artwork on my Patreon — the artwork I do use, and the artwork I don’t use. Plus, by subscribing to my Patreon you are making a major contribution to Briefed and helping me to keep this channel going, because this is my full time job and the survival of the channel and quality of the videos greatly depends on said support. In return for supporting, you get more than the artwork though — you also get exclusive videos and producer credit, as well as access to a producer group that gets to vote on thumbnails, gets behind the scenes etc.
If you choose to become a Patron — thank you. I do not take it for granted.
