One of the most important annual motor shows returns for its 100th birthday. Geneva International Motorshow was open for the press & trade on February 26th/27th and to the public from February 28th-March 3rd, 2024.

Follow me on my quick tour of the motorshow, GIMS!

First held in 1905, the Geneva International Motorshow in March was for many years a "must visit" for every car enthusiast, automotive journalist and executives from the car industry. Some of the most legendary and important cars of this world debuted to the public in Geneva such as Porsche 356 (1949), Ferrari 250 GT (1956), Jaguar E-Type (1961), Range Rover (1970), Ferrari Dino 246 GTS (1972), Audi Quattro (1980), Porsche 918 Spyder (2010) and Tesla Model S (2012) and many more.

Then in February 2020 the Covid-19 pandemic shut down the motorshow and forced the organizers to pause the show. Until now. Because the Geneva International Motorshow is back for 2024 with stylish stands and innovative exhibits, showcasing the fascination and innovation surrounding cars and mobility in general.

There is also a "fascination exhibition", the Classic Gallery, with iconic cars from the last century, including Porsches, Bugattis, Jaguars, VW Beetle and various Ferraris just to mention a few. In total 40 classic cars are exhibited of which 20 had their public debut at Geneva International Motorshow.

Enjoy the 2024 GIMS! And thank you for watching mobility insider!
