Have you heard about the recent news regarding Sadhguru, the founder of the Isha Foundation, which has left many of his followers in shock and distress?
The organization announced on Wednesday that their spiritual leader had undergone a brain surgery for a "life-threatening" health condition. However, they added that Sadhguru is now recovering well and his health is stable, by god's grace. According to an official statement released by the Isha Foundation, "Sadhguru has recently undergone a life-threatening medical situation. He is currently recovering well."
In the recently issued statement, The Isha Foundation informed the public that Sadhguru underwent an MRI scan on March 15. The scan revealed that he was experiencing massive bleeding in his brain, and doctors recommended immediate hospitalization. Despite his condition, Sadhguru refused to cancel any of his commitments and proceeded to attend them while under the influence of powerful painkillers and sedatives. He explained that he had never canceled a meeting in the past 40 years.
Sadhguru experienced multiple instances of bleeding in his brain. Due to a severe headache, he was admitted to the hospital. As his condition worsened, the spiritual leader of the Isha Foundation had to undergo an emergency brain surgery to relieve the bleeding in his skull. The surgery was performed on March 17 at the Indraprastha Apollo Hospitals in New Delhi.

During the surgery, the doctors discovered that Sadhguru had been ignoring the signs of his deteriorating health for the last four weeks. He had been relentlessly following his grueling schedule, which included the Mahashivratri function on March 8.
Upon the examination through the MRI scan, there was evidence of chronic bleeding that had been ongoing for the last 3-4 weeks as well as fresh bleeding that had developed in the previous 24-48 hours of the scan.
As of March 17th, Sadhguru's neurological condition rapidly deteriorated, leading to unconsciousness, weakness in his left leg, and worsening headaches accompanied by recurring vomiting. He was taken to the hospital where a CT scan was performed, revealing increased swelling in his brain. As a result, an immediate decision was made to undergo brain surgery to relieve the bleeding in his skull and stabilize his health. The surgery was performed within a few hours of his admission to the hospital.
A team of doctors managed Sadhguru, which includes Dr. Vinit Suri, Dr. Pranav Kumar, Dr. Sudheer Tyagi, and Dr. S Chatterjee. Dr. Vinit Suri, a senior consultant neurosurgeon, led the surgery, and in a statement, he mentioned that Sadhguru has been showing steady progress. His brain, body, and vital parameters have improved to normal levels. On Wednesday, the spiritual leader himself posted a video from his hospital bed on his Instagram handle. In a rather jovial tone, Sadhguru said "The Apollo Hospital neurosurgeons cut through my skull to try and find something but found nothing - totally empty. So they gave up and patched it up. Here I am in Delhi with a patched-up skull but no damaged brain."
The honorable Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi, spoke to the spiritual leader and wished him a speedy recovery. He also shared about this conversation on his social media account. In response to the Prime Minister's kind gesture, Sadhguru expressed his gratitude and mentioned how "overwhelmed" he felt by the Prime Minister's concern. He said, "Beloved Pradhan Mantri ji, I should not be a concern to you. You have a nation to conduct. Overwhelmed by your concern, on my way to recovery. Dhanyawad."
