With a 394bhp five-cylinder turbo engine, torque vectoring and a 0-62 time only 0.4 seconds slower than an R8, the new RS3 looks set to demolish supercars at a set of traffic lights.

On paper, it may not look as though much has changed on the new RS3. It produces the same amount of power as its predecessor and only 20Nm more torque. But it's all about incremental changes and a new differential that can send up to 100% of the car's power to one of the rear wheels. And, yes, that does mean it should be far easier to drift than before. We'll give our full verdict when we get behind the wheel in the coming months but in the meantime here's everything we know about the RS3... Prototype...
