Join us on Friday, 14 May at 19:00 (CEST) for an online Benefit Concert for The Cahul Music School (Moldova) organised by violist Dinu Serfezi, Crescendo Summer Institute faculty member, and featuring a performance by the Swedish String Quartet, of which Mr. Serfezi is also a member.

Description of the Initiative:
In cooperation with Ilie Croitoru, Crescendo leader in Moldova, an initiative has been launched to provide instruments for the new music school in the city of Cahul in Moldova, one of the poorest countries in Europe. Ilie, an accomplished Moldovan conductor, has previously organised eight Crescendo Festivals in his country and has received commendations from the mayor of Cahul and the national UNESCO commissioner for his tireless efforts to make Cahul a regional centre for music and culture. Ilie’s work is a prime example of the impact that the Crescendo International movement can have on a local community.

This concert is a great opportunity to show your support for the children of Cahul - and for Crescendo - by helping us raise money to purchase used instruments, which will be transported to Moldova and made available to local students of the music school.
Our goal from this event is to raise €3,500 to purchase a Grand Piano as well as other instruments. All logistical support to collect, pack and transport instruments to Moldova will be carried out by Crescendo friends and volunteers.
