Have you ever eaten tongue?
I fell in love with cow tongue a couple years back when we were in Sendai (and have eaten it every single time I've been up there since).

While we were at a temple's festival with my dad, we came across pork tongue. It was actually incredibly delicious.
And I know a lot of people are just going to go "ewwwww" and refuse to eat tongue if they ever come across it... but really, you don't know what you like until you try. I think it's better to try as many different types of food as possible, so you can formulate your own opinions about them (rather than just saying you like only what is socially acceptable).

But those are just the thoughts of someone who has lived abroad most of her teenage/adult life.
