Gigafactory Texas on 9 August 2021! This is where the Cyber Truck and Model Y will be built!

Another great day to fly at Giga Texas! A lot of activity and several big news and other updates around the Giga Texas area (including Boring Company activities) and we discuss them all in this video!
Activity has resumed west of the main highway with a large section of the new east-west road now paved and additional work to extend this east and under the bridge underway this morning. We also see steel and roofing work on the main structure and more paving and road preparation on the east side as well.

Here are the highlights from today's video:
- More earthmoving work on the berm and roadway on the west side of the main structure has really changed the appearance of the factory from the frontage road, now giving visitors the sense that they are almost inside the structure it is that close. I believe we will see fencing installation here soon and along the entire length of the highway to provide some level of security for the factory.
- There is a lot more roofing materials being installed on several sections of the main roof, including steel mesh and fill panels on the casting machine structure, cementitious mix and insulation application on the battery cell structure and normal insulation and weatherproof lining on the south and central areas of eh General Assembly structure.
- The western exterior wall panel installation for the battery cell structure is nearly complete and rounding the angled corner should begin later today. Many more loading docks (curiously with a ground-level height), doorways and small ground-floor windows have been added on this side of the structure. There also appears to be a lot of activity inside, installing walls, wire racking systems, plumbing and electrical wiring and more.
- West of the highway, there is a large section of paved east-west road and additional work to extend this east and under the bridge underway this morning.
- Other road paving activities are underway around the main building and a concrete apron on the southeast side of the Body-in-White structure
- We see active steel assembly in the north "alley" structure (growing larger to the north) and the south end of the General Assembly structure this early morning. I suspect the General Assembly structure steel work may conclude this week!
- Under the casting machine structure roof, it appears further casting machine foundation construction for Giga Press #4 is underway as well. Getting a clear photo or video of this area is challenging because of how far this construction is under the roof, but we get some good looks at the ongoing effort.
- On the west side of the General Assembly structure, just south of the end of the current glass and concrete exterior wall, we see large areas of the columns and angled beams painted black and the exterior wall mounts were removed … this suggests a very large area of glass, perhaps with some of these being in triangular shapes and facing the main highway
- Finally, it was a full parking lot, so you know a lot is going on inside, possibly including the first test Model Y pre-production cars being assembled!
