DPC is the only way I can see of saving our healthcare system in America. Getting rid of insurance for most of our patient-doctor transactions, and instead saving it for the expensive big-ticket items, allows for you, the consumer, to finally have a say in what a trip to the doctor's office looks like. NOT a gazillion forms and surveys to fill out, but rather more time with your doctor. NOT more "press 1 for this, press 2 for that" phone trees, but actually getting to talk to the doctor you trust after hours and on weekends when something scary is going on.
