American track sensation Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone made her much anticipated comeback to the track as a part of a women's 4x100m quartet at the Mt. SAC Relays in California on Saturday, April 20. The 24-year-old world record holder for the women's 400-meter hurdles and twice Olympic champion hasn't competed since winning the flat 400-meter event at the US Championships in June 2023. Sydney withdrew from the 2023 World Championships in Budapest citing a "minor knee issue," making it impossible for her to defend her world championship. Her incredible run of form, which saw her break the 400-meter hurdles world record four times in the span of two years, came to a stop with the break. However, as she gets ready to create history once again, we will undoubtedly see the rebirth of this hurdling wonder as she sets her sights on the Olympic Games in Paris.
