This was one of my favorite feel good singles from 1971. Written and performed by Lobo (real name Kent LaVoie) "Me and You and a Dog Named Boo" peaked at #5 in the Billboard Hot 100. It was the first of four of his songs to hit #1 on Billboard's Easy Listening chart. In the UK the song reached #4 on the Singles Chart in July 1971. The song was released on the album "Introducing Lobo." This single was my favorite single, but internationally, "Me and You and a Dog Named Boo" was Lobo's second most successful song, surpassed by the later release "I'd Love You to Want Me."
