The new, 2022 Ineos Grenadier looks to fill the void left by the old Land Rover Defender, with a simple, rugged build, imperious off-road ability and a utilitarian focus. The Grenadier uses rigid axles, and power comes from a choice of petrol or diesel engines. Both are turbocharged 3.0-litre straight-six units sourced from BMW, powering through an 8-speed ZF gearbox.
