A sign of a believer's maturity is being able to give generously what they have decided in their hearts to give without the need to be prompted or under compulsion. Instead, we give to glorify God and bless other people. We also need to have patience -- knowing that the things that we hope for will be given to us in due time. Know that our Father sees our hearts more than the amount of our giving.

As it is written, "Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work."
(2 Corinthians 9:7‭-‬8)
