Škoda Octavia 4 2020 Premium - the first look of exterior and interior with all options!

This is the new fourth generation of Octavia, the first premier on Vienna Auto Show 2020. An all-new design, new technology for safety and comfort. For the first time in Škoda, Octavia features optional; head-up display, full LED Matrix headlights, rear full LED lights with dynamic turn signals, 360 camera parking system, new infotainment, standard MIB with an 8-inch screen or optional Columbus 10-inch screen with Navigation (seen in the video), Apple Car Play and mirror link are standard.

The new two-spoke steering wheel is standard, with 14 different commands. Optionally you can get a three-spoke steering wheel with a sporty flat bottom. Octavia features both USB A (3.0) and USB C, with one USB C on top of the interior mirror as a dashcam recorder. The 10-inch virtual cockpit is upgraded. Ambient lights now offering a combination fo two colors, door-dashboard in one color and footwell in the second color.

New safety technology brings; Collision-Avoidance Assist, Turn Assist and Exit Warning. Side Assist and Emergency Assist as well as Predictive Cruise Control and Area View.

Octavia 4, for the first time in Škoda, has a new electronic shift by wire DSG, which is not anymore connected to a transmission mechanically but sends the digital information to the gearbox. The hand brake is now electronic. Both allow more space in the middle bridge. Now, the 6-speed manual transmission is standard.

The petrol engine options offer standard and mild hybrid technology with a 48V battery. Unfortunately no mild hybrid for diesel. But as when this text was written, new DFI technology has been invented with almost no NOX and lower CO2 emissions for diesel, suggesting diesel come back again as a better option in the ICE world, even threatening EV markets. Coming from the USA, shocking!

Petrol options are three-cylinder 1.0 TSI with 110 HP or four-cylinder 1.5 TSI with 150 or 190 HP. Diesel options feature only four-cylinder 2.0 TDI with 116, 150 and 200 HP for 4x4 all-wheel-drive option, which is only available with DSG.

New iV or the plug-in hybrid has 1.4 TSI with 204 HP and 6-speed DSG, while the CNG option has 1.5 TSI with 130 HP.

New Hatchback now offers 10 l larger trunk space; 600 liters! And has less air drag and better aerodynamics altogether. Now with a front bumper hosting air tunneling on the sides, and new rear diffuser.
