In today’s video we answer one of the most common questions I get from students… what is the difference between how I should swing the driver and how I should swing my irons?

First we'll discuss the differences in your set up and ball position, which are largely dictated by the length and lie angle of the club.

But the most important difference between your driver and iron swing is your angle of attack and where the bottom of your swing is.

For your driver swing, you want to hit the ball with an ascending blow. To accomplish this you want the low point of your swing to come before the ball.

For your iron swing, you want to hit the ball with a descending blow... and to accomplish this you want the low point of your swing to come after the ball.

I'll explain the difference and then give you a simple drill to help you smash your irons and get lots of compression... while at the same time launching your drives high in the air for maximum carry.
