Innovation: Africa's Founder and CEO shares her inspiring and personal story of how
despite her poor upbringing and the many obstacles and mistakes she faced, she managed to transform the lives of people living in rural African villages with the help of one simple and yet cheap solution - solar energy. By harnessing the energy of the sun, she was able to transform nearly 1 million people's lives with access to light, water, medical care and food for the first time. Her main message is that we can no longer ignore people's suffering. We have the technology to eradicate poverty and make poverty part of our generation's history. It is simple and inexpensive. We need to stand up and take initiative. It is in our hands.
