In episode 1x09 of House of the Dragon, Princess Rhaenys Targaryen chose a side. When news of King Viserys' death reaches her via Queen Alicent, it also comes with a pitch to align Rhaenys with Alicent and her family. That means her loyalty to Aegon as king and opposing her cousin Rhaenyra.

Rhaenys not only made her decision but made a statement in doing so. She crashed Aegon's coronation ceremony by fleeing Kings Landing with her dragon Meleys and sending a message to Alicent and the Hightower family that she has chosen a side.
