How to Fix a Pallet Jack that Wont Stay up and Leaks Down. This particular model was an interthor jack. This pallet jack was leaking internally and wouldn't hold a load up. It would pick it up and then slowly leak back down. This jack did not leak oil externally, that would be a different problem. What you will need is a new seal and maybe some valve grinder compound. The seal size for this was 31.5 x 41.5 x 6 mm. Metric seal. Dont waste your money buying a whole seal kit for $50-100, just the part that is needed can be had for about $5 including shipping, just google the seal size. Take off your release lever and disconnect the cable, you dont have to take much apart to fix this. The seal may be referred to as a radial seal or maybe a u cup seal.
