We stayed at Buffalo Ridge Camp Resort for our visit to the Black Hills and Custer State Park (which ended up being one our favorite parks ever) in South Dakota. There are many campgrounds within the park itself, but Buffalo Ridge provided lots of nice amenities and was still a short drive away from Custer. It's also a great place to stay if you are planning to visit Mount Rushmore or Wind Cave National Park.
