These are the inventors, the artists, the makers who construct the most astonishingly detailed replicas of airplanes out of manila folders; use access to a river and scrap metal to construct hydroelectric power stations; build small-scale fusion reactors right in their backyards; and design, build and pilot their own gyroplanes.
