Art/TESOL educator Ana Guzman discusses how to build safe and inclusive learning spaces for bilingual and multilingual students, and presents research-based practices from the Art and TESOL fields to provide you with valuable information that will help you become an ally for more equitable learning opportunities for ELL students.

Ana Guzman received her master’s in Teaching English to Students of Other Languages (TESOL) from Pepperdine University. She holds a California Single Subject Art Credential with a Dual Language Authorization. Ana has seventeen years of experience as a secondary school art teacher and is currently supporting art teachers as a University Field Supervisor.

The Educator Speaker Series invites K-12 teachers to present on crucial topics in art education that center on criticality and social justice.
