In the early 1900s Long Beach was a dry town (no alcohol sold anywhere), so Long Beach residents looking for a drink would head down to the taverns in Belmont Heights 🍻 It couldn’t make it on its own and so it was annexed into Long Beach in 1909.

It is now home to over 250 businesses!
