If you're in the market for an affordable all-electric SUV, you essentially have two options at the moment, Tesla's Model Y or the all-new Mustang Mach-E and while we're in the process of conducting a complete long-term ownership review of the Mustang, we decided to get things started with a bang to see which car is quicker off the line. For this test, we pitted our white Dual Motor Model Y (with acceleration boost) against our new black Mustang Mach-E Extended Range All-Wheel Drive. At the end of the day, we all really want to see the upcoming Mach-E GT Performance pitted against the Performance Model Y, but until we can conduct that test, the Traffic Light Grand Prix is where you’re really going to see these two ~$50,000 SUV’s compete.
