Come along as I check out a sweet fishing hole in Raleigh, North Carolina. This is my first time fishing anywhere close to this part of the state so it was a lot of fun to see a new body of water and exciting to have no idea what to expect. The Old Falls section of the Neuse River did not disappoint! I think I finished with about 20 fish in 2 hours with half of them being thick White Bass. In this video I called them white perch bc where I normally fish like this we don't have white bass and they look VERY similar. The decidedly easy way to tell the difference is the faint striping on their sides. Heres a great link to a comparison chart from yours truly at the nc wildlife dept.

Note that the white bass will need to be 14 inch minimum to keep but I hear they can be delicious eating. If you are looking for somewhere to take a kid fishing , this would be a great opportunity to catch some fun fishing panfish just outside of the urban areas of Raleigh.
