Charlie (Billy Burke) goes to the Cullen house to see Bella (Kristen Stewart) and meet his granddaughter, Renesmee. He accepts she is now recovered and this is her chosen life, but he does not know what has changed her or where Renesmee came from, but she's 'adopted'.
